1. PPA (Power Purchase Agreement): JGS invests for you by providing the investment for the project, handling the financial commitment on your behalf.
2. EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction): You purchase the system and make the investment yourself, with the provider handling the design, procurement, and construction.

In the case of an EPC (self-investment) approach
you can gain additional tax benefits from BOI in conjunction with savings on electricity costs
Assuming an investment of ฿20M, you can benefit from both electricity savings (from solar panel installation) and tax savings (50% of corporate income tax from BOI).
How It Works
Electricity Savings:
You save ฿8M each year on electricity costs due to the
solar panel installation.
Tax Savings:
You receive ฿10M in tax savings (50% of the ฿20M investment), which can be applied either all within the first year or evenly over 3 years. For this calculation, we assume all ฿10M of tax savings are applied in the first year.
Breakeven Calculation:
Total Savings in 2 Years: ฿8M (year 1) + ฿8M (year 2) + ฿10M (total tax savings applied in year 1) = ฿26M.
Initial Investment Recovery: You recoup your initial investment of ฿20M within approximately 2 years (as the total savings exceed the initial investment within this period).
You can gain additional tax benefits from BOI in conjunction with the savings on electricity costs. Assuming an investment of ฿20M, you can benefit from both electricity savings (from solar panel installation) and tax savings (50% of corporate income tax from BOI). After reaching this breakeven point, the ongoing electricity savings will effectively provide you with free electricity.
